Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Billboard Bot Discord application, the Billboard Botweb dashboard, and related services (together, the “Service”). By adding the bot to a Discord server, signing in to the dashboard, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who we are

The Service is operated by a sole trader (OSVČ, živnostník) registered in the Czech Republic (the “Operator”, “we”, “us”). Full identification details, including the registered business identification number, are available on request at support@<domain> and are stated on every invoice issued through our merchant of record.

3. The Service

Billboard Botmaintains “billboards”: single bot-owned messages in Discord channels that the Service edits in place on a configurable interval, cycling through content frames (text, embeds, and images) that you configure via slash commands or the web dashboard. The Service depends on the Discord platform and its APIs; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

4. Accounts and access

Using the dashboard requires signing in with your Discord account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your Discord account and for ensuring that you have the authority (for example, the Manage Server permission) to configure the Service in any server where you use it.

5. Plans, subscriptions, and billing

The Service offers a free plan and a paid “Pro” plan purchased per Discord server, billed monthly or yearly. Current prices and plan limits are listed on our pricing page and may change with reasonable advance notice; price changes never apply retroactively to an already-paid period.

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates (“Paddle”), acting as the merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable taxes such as VAT, invoicing, and refund execution. Your purchase is additionally subject to Paddle’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time through the customer portal linked in the dashboard, in which case Pro remains active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Vote rewards

We may grant temporary Pro access as a reward for voting for the bot on third-party bot listing sites. Vote rewards are a free, discretionary benefit: they carry no monetary value, cannot be exchanged or refunded, and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • violate any applicable law, the Discord Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Developer Policy;
  • publish content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that harasses or defames others;
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or technical restrictions of the Service or of Discord;
  • probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
  • resell or sublicense the Service without our prior written consent.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts or servers that breach this section, with or without prior notice depending on severity.

8. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you place in billboard frames. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and display that content solely as necessary to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you publish through the Service and for having the rights to publish it.

9. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation: the Service depends on the Discord API, whose availability, rate limits, and behavior are outside our control, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts rotation. We will use reasonable efforts to keep the Service running and to announce planned maintenance where practical.

10. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights under Czech and EU law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription. We may terminate or suspend the Service, or any part of it, where required by law, where Discord access is revoked, or upon discontinuation of the product; in the case of discontinuation, we will provide reasonable advance notice to paying customers and refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard or the Discord support channels at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
